In 2014 Lee Strand was nominated by the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) to represent Ireland at the EMAS Awards (Eco-Management & Audit Scheme) in Germany. The theme for the 2014 Awards was "Effective eco-innovations supporting improvements in environmental performance" and was attended by 29 organisations from 14 European countries. Lee Strand's achieved registration to the Eco-management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) in 2000 and received EMAS III in 2010. Lee Strand is one of only three companies in Ireland to have achieved the prestigious EMAS III accreditation.
Lee Strand has a proven track record in managing energy and sustainability. Lee Strand's commitment to sustainability and resource efficiency has been acknowledged by the achievement of Energy Master of the Year Award 2008, a prestigious award made by Sustainable Energy Ireland.
